According to Section 17 of Trade Organizations Act 2022, Vice Chairman of Export Development Bureau Md. Anwar Hossain has been appointed as administrator of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

On Sunday (October 20, 2024), this information was informed in an order signed by Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Md. Abdur Rahim Khan.

The order states that the appointed administrator shall notify the ministry within 120 (one hundred and twenty) days of handing over responsibility to the selected committee through a fair and impartial election.
