Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: A mobile court operation was conducted on Wednesday (3 December 2025 AD) in the Ashulia and Goarat areas of Savar, Dhaka, to disconnect illegal gas connections. The operation successfully dismantled illegally established gas connections.
During the drive, 3 kilometers of illegal gas distribution lines were uprooted, 700 illegal residential gas burners were disconnected, and 600 meters of illegal pipes were removed. This action immediately resulted in a disconnected gas load of 14,700 cubic feet per hour.
As a result of this operation, the monthly gas savings amounted to 99,902 cubic meters, with an estimated financial value of BDT 1,798,236 (seventeen lakh ninety-eight thousand two hundred and thirty-six taka).
Such operations against illegal connections will continue to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to legal customers and prevent the wastage of gas.
