Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Telephone Shilpa Sangstha (TSS) Limited and EDOTCO Bangladesh Limited with the objective of establishing a modern repair and refurbishment centre for critical network power components in the country’s telecommunication sector.

In the presence of Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, special assistant to the chief advisor in charge of the Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology, the MoU was signed in the meeting room of the Post and Telecommunication Division on Thursday (December 4, 2025 AD) by Dr. Manwar Hossain Molla, Managing Director of TSS, and Sunil Isaac, Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh.

In his speech as the chief guest at the event, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb said that this MoU between TSS and EDOTCO will play an important role in further strengthening the country’s telecommunication infrastructure. He mentioned that the establishment of this repair and refurbishment centre will increase network reliability, reduce import dependence, and create opportunities for building skilled human resources. He further added that if the initiative is successful, it will pave the way for battery cell production in the country in the future, which will help save foreign currency and build new technology sectors.
