Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: The Department of Environment (DoE) conducted extensive mobile court operations across the country on Thursday (December 4, 2025 AD) against illegal brick kilns causing air pollution, banned polythene, and polluting industrial factories.
Pursuant to the Brick Preparation and Kiln Establishment (Control) Act, 2013, a total of Tk 33 lakh 50 thousand was collected in fines through 12 cases filed across five operations conducted in the districts of Chattogram, Kushtia, Dinajpur, Jhenaidah, and Barishal. During this time, the raw bricks of 12 illegal kilns were destroyed, their chimneys demolished, operations completely shut down, and electricity connections severed.
