Mymensingh, Broadcasting News Corporation: A young man named Mahbub Alam (22) was killed in a head-on collision between a pickup and a motorcycle while returning home after working at a pharmacy in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh.
The accident occurred around 9 PM on Tuesday (December 23, 2025) near Bhuiya Filling Station in Charhosenpur area of Ishwarganj Sadar Union. Upon receiving the immediate news, a team from Ishwarganj Fire Service rescued the critically injured youth and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. The deceased, Mahbub Alam, was the son of Abdul Quddus from Borhinteri village in Borhit Union of Ishwarganj Upazila.
According to the family of the deceased, Mahbub worked at a pharmacy named ‘Ratan Medical Hall’ in Ishwarganj municipality. On Tuesday night, after finishing his duty and while returning home on his motorcycle, he died in a head-on collision with a pickup.
OC Rubiul Azam of Ishwarganj Police Station said that upon receiving the news, the police were sent to the scene and the pickup and motorcycle were seized and brought to the police station. The post-mortem of the body has been completed and other legal procedures are underway.
