Ashraful Islam, Chapainawabganj Correspondent, Broadcasting News Corporation: RAB-5 has arrested a drug dealer with 32 kg 740 grams of marijuana while carrying illegal drugs in a private car in a unique way in Chapainawabganj. An operational team of RAB-5, Rajshahi’s CPC-1 (Chapainawabganj), conducted the operation at around 8:00 AM on Wednesday (December 24, 2025) in the Mollan Mor (Chaurasta Mor) area of Sundarpur Union under Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila.

The arrested drug dealer’s name is Ahammad Ali (26). He is the son of the late Madhu Mia of Usail village in Sadar Upazila of Habiganj district. During the operation, 32 kg 740 grams of illegal cannabis (ganja) were seized from a private car used by him.

According to RAB sources, based on confidential information, two people were coming to Chapainawabganj from Habiganj district in a private car with a large quantity of marijuana for sale.

Based on this information, a temporary check post was set up in the Mollan Mor area. A white private car was searched at the check post, and a secretly hidden marijuana was seized and one person was arrested.

The arrested marijuana dealer and the seized evidence have been handed over to Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station for further legal action.

RAB said that such operations by RAB to suppress all crimes, including drugs, will continue in the future.
