Ashraful Islam, Special Correspondent, Chapainawabganj, Broadcasting News Corporation: To support people suffering from the cold, shawls were distributed to 240 needy individuals in Chapainawabganj. The program was organized by the Chapainawabganj District Unit of the Bangladesh Ex-Cadets Association (BECA) on Saturday (January 3, 2026) at 4 PM in the first phase of the shawl distribution program held in Namoshankarbati Fatepur village of Ward No. 9, Chapainawabganj Municipality, Sadar Upazila. Honored guests present at the event included Mr. Md. Nasiruzzaman Khan, Advisor of the District Unit and Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Nawabganj Government College, Chapainawabganj; Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Manager, City Bank, Chapainawabganj Branch; and distinguished social worker Abdul Mannan Biswas. Local dignitaries were also present at the event. The event, presided over by Mr. Farhad Ahmed, President of the Chapainawabganj District Unit of the Bangladesh Ex-Cadets Association, was also attended by the district unit’s General Secretary Mr. Osman Gani and Organizational Secretary.
