Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: The ICT Division’s white paper was published on Thursday (08 January 2026) on the division’s website (ictd.gov.bd).
The task force, formed to prepare the white paper by investigating and researching irregularities and mismanagement in various ICT-related initiatives during the previous government’s tenure, has submitted the final white paper after extensive inquiry and review.
The white paper highlights a detailed picture of irregularities, corruption, administrative weaknesses, and structural problems in the ICT division’s various activities over the past one and a half decades. It also includes several recommendations aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance in the future.
It is worth mentioning that, with the approval of the Chief Adviser, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology issued a notification on 3 April 2025 to form a task force for the ICT Division. The main purpose of forming this task force was to review all types of contracts, project DPPs, all audit reports, and investigation reports carried out by the ICT Division during the previous government, and to investigate any irregularities and mismanagement in order to prepare the ‘ICT White Paper’ based on research.
The government hopes that this White Paper will serve as an important guideline for institutional reform of the ICT Division, preventing corruption, and ensuring citizen-friendly services.
