Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: Through the combined and earnest efforts of all stakeholders involved with the primary level education system, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) successfully completed the printing and supply of 100% of the pre-primary and primary level (Grades 1 to 5) textbooks for the current academic year on Tuesday (16 December 2025 AD).
This success was achieved due to the government’s firm commitment and sincere efforts, as well as the tireless labour and dedication of all parties involved in this process—printing institutions, transport agencies, and the officers and employees of the NCTB. As a result, the path has been paved to deliver completely new textbooks into the hands of all primary level students in the country before the start of the new academic year.
The printing and preparation of more than 85 million textbooks before the academic year begins is a complex and challenging task. This achievement is a clear manifestation of the government’s education-friendly policies and unwavering commitment to improving the quality of primary education. It is hoped that this success will be considered a significant milestone in the history of the primary education system.
