New Ambassador of UAE to Bangladesh calls on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam

Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation : New Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bangladesh Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi called on the State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka wednesday. The State Minister welcomed the New Ambassador and assured him all possible support from the Ministry. The Ambassador thanked the State Minister for receiving him. He highly appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the unprecedented development and progress of Bangladesh. The State Minister mentioned that the relations between Bangladesh and the UAE are becoming stronger day by day. He expressed that during the tenure of Ambassador the bilateral relations would further expand for mutual interest. The Ambassador highlighted for cooperation on enhancing trade and investment, air and shipping connection, agriculture, Food Security, floating based solar energy, pharmaceuticals, IT, afforestation, alliance for mangrove forest etc. The Ambassador requested the State Minister for support of Bangladesh during COP 28 to be held in Dubai in 2023. He also sought the cooperation of the Bangladesh Government for operation of Abu Dhabi based Wizz Air between Abu Dhabi and Dhaka/Chittagong as a low-cost airline. The State Minister emphasized for strengthening cooperation for food security and energy security between Bangladesh and the UAE.
