At the same time, she prayed for the salvation of the souls of all martyrs killed in the July-August 2024 revolution and the speedy recovery of the injured. She said, persons with disabilities are our own people, an integral part of society and the state. It is possible to turn them into human resources through proper dignity, service and care, education, and training. The inclusion of persons with disabilities through the ecosystem in the mainstream of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across Bangladesh and the whole world is now a demand of the time.We all must come forward together for the rights, protection, and development of persons with disabilities.”
\nShe made this statement as the chief guest at a discussion meeting, honour ceremony, and cultural program organized by the National Foundation for Development of Disabled Persons under the Ministry of Social Welfare, on the occasion of the 34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the 27th National Day of Persons with Disabilities, held on Thursday (December 4, 2025 AD) at the National Disability Development Foundation premises in Mirpur, Dhaka.
\nThe event was presided over by the Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf, while the Director General of the Department of Social Services, Md.
