Mymensingh, Broadcasting News Corporation: Bazendra Biswas (40), an Ansar member, was killed by gunfire from a coworker’s shotgun at a garment factory in Valuka, Mymensingh.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on Monday (December 29, 2025) around 7 PM at the ‘Sultana Sweaters Limited’ factory, a subsidiary of Labib Group, in the Mehrabari area of Valuka Upazila.<\/p>\n
The deceased Bazendra Biswas was the son of Pobitro Biswas from Kadirpur village in Sylhet Sadar Upazila. In connection with the incident, police have arrested the accused Ansar member, Noman Mia (22). Noman is the son of Lutfur Rahman from Baluturi Bazar in Taherpur Upazila, Sunamganj District.<\/p>\n
Police and eyewitnesses said that 20 Ansar members were assigned for security at Sultana Sweaters Limited factory. At the time of the incident, Bazendra and Noman were sitting together inside the factory. At that moment, a shot unexpectedly fired from the shotgun in Noman Mia’s hand. The bullet directly hit Bazendra Biswas’s left shoulder, causing him to fall to the ground in a bloody state. Later, colleagues quickly rescued him and took him to the Valuka Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
\nMohammad Zahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Valuka Model Police Station, confirmed the incident and said that upon receiving the news, the police quickly went to the scene and took the accused, Noman Mia, into custody. The deceased’s body has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
