The Sept. 5 discovery at the Del Rio International Bridge unfolded when the tractor-trailer \u2013 hauling a shipment of diesel tank reservoir containers \u2013 went through a secondary inspection, according to the agency. A non-intrusive inspection using dogs was carried out, leading to the bust. Port Director Liliana Flores declared the seizure \u201creflects the steadfast commitment of our officers to the CBP border security mission and their effective application of technology, training and experience.\u201d More information wasn\u2019t released while the Department of Homeland Security investigates. The bust comes amid sharp criticism from Texas sheriffs over President Biden\u2019s border policy, with one lawman telling The Post thousands of pounds of fentanyl pouring into the US are causing \u201cquite frankly a tsunami of death.\u201d The border has been an ongoing issue for the Biden administration. Last month the border agency said the number of migrants arrested while trying to cross into the US already exceeded last year\u2019s record \u2013 and was on pace to surpass 2 million for the first time in the fiscal year ending in September.
