Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: To keep the onion market stable, 200 IP (Import Permits) will be issued daily starting from Saturday (13 December 2025). Each I/P will authorize a maximum of 30 tons of onions, consistent with previous allowances.
The conditions for application remain the same as before: only importers who have applied for import permits since 1 August 2025 will be able to resubmit their applications. Each importer will have one opportunity to apply.
This activity will continue until further notice to maintain stability in the onion market.
