Mymensingh, Broadcasting News Corporation: On the occasion of the 111th birth anniversary of the eminent son of Mymensingh, artist Zainul Abedin, the Zainul Birth Festival–2025 was organized jointly by the Mymensingh Divisional Fine Arts Council and the Asian Music Museum.
On Tuesday (December 30, 2025), painting competitions, remembrance discussions, cultural programs, and award distributions were organized on this occasion. At the discussion titled ‘Beacon of Humanitarian Art: Artist Zainul Abedin,’ speakers included freedom fighter Bimal Pal, painters Hasan Masud, Mukul Dutta, Gautam Kumar Debnath, Priya Dutta, poet and rhymester Ali Yusuf, poet Sarkar Aziz, thinker and river conservation activist Abul Kalam Al Azad, social worker Kavya Sumi Sarkar, theater artist Emdad, and Asian Music Museum director Rezaul Karim Aslam.
Poetry recitations and musical performances were presented by students of Nobabrati. Nearly 136 participants took part in the organized painting competition.
