Mahmudur Rahman, Acting Editor of Amar Desh Patrika, was attacked in the Kushtia court premises 6 years ago when he came to take bail. Mahmudur Rahman is filing a case at Kushtia Model Police Station on Thursday (October 10, 2024) afternoon in that incident. In the case, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Jasad President Hasanul Haque Inu, including 47 people have been named and 20/30 other unidentified people have been accused. At this time he told the journalists that 6 years ago (July 22, 2018) there was a brutal attack on me with the intention of killing me. The attack was ordered by then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Jasad President and then Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Awami League Joint Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, then IGP Javed Patwari. Apart from the local terrorists of the BCL, other leaders were also involved. He further said that I have filed the case in the hope of getting justice. Police will take further action.
Model Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahfuzul Haque Chowdhury confirmed the case. Mahmudur Rahman attended a reception organized by Kushtia Press Club after filing the case. After finishing the meeting, he went to the house of Abrar Fahad, a BUET student who was killed in the Chhatra League attack.
