Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has requested the organisation of special prayers and supplications nationwide on Friday (December 5, 2025 AD) for the recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. A letter regarding this was issued today from the Ministry’s Agency-1 branch.
The letter issued by the Ministry stated that since Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, is seriously ill and undergoing treatment in hospital, the government has decided to arrange special dua (prayers) in all mosques across the country after Juma prayers tomorrow, and prayers according to their respective faiths in all temples, pagodas, and churches at a convenient time for her swift recovery, and relevant parties have been instructed and requested to take necessary action.
