Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman expressed his gratitude to the Creator and everyone after reaching the motherland after 6,314 days. The Bangladesh Biman flight carrying Tarique Rahman, his wife and daughter, landed at the airport at around 11:40 am on Thursday (December 25, 2025).

Shortly after, Tarique Rahman stepped out of the airport’s VVIP lounge, took off his shoes, and stepped onto the dew-drenched grass. He also picked up a handful of soil. He was welcomed at the airport by members of the party’s standing committee led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Upon reaching the motherland, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman called Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus and thanked him for all the support. After completing immigration at the airport, Tarique Rahman’s wife Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman left the airport and went to their home in Gulshan.

Tarique Rahman then left by bus for the public reception venue on the 36th July Expressway in Purbachal, Dhaka. Tarique Rahman was welcomed by leaders, activists and supporters on his way to the reception venue. He waved and accepted the greetings.
