Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corp: Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Abdul Halim, stated, ‘We are committed to realizing the aspirations of all the July warriors.
The spirit of the youth’s resolute slogan—’There are many storms within the heart, I bare my chest, shoot me’—was embodied by martyrs like Abu Sayeed, Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, and Abrar Fahad. Most recently, the July hero martyr Sharif Osman bin Hadi sacrificed his life as a victim of the conspiracies of hegemonic forces. We are committed to fulfilling the aspirations of all these July warriors.
He made these remarks while speaking to journalists after collecting the nomination paper on behalf of Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the party-nominated candidate for the Dhaka-15 constituency, from the Returning Officer’s office in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Thursday (December 25, 2025) on the occasion of the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
At that time, he further said, ‘I call upon the people of the country to remain united under the leadership of Dr. Shafiqur Rahman with the goal of building a corruption-free, just, and humanitarian Bangladesh. We seek the prayers and cooperation of the countrymen so that a credible election with the participation of all parties and opinions can be held in a fair, beautiful, and peaceful environment in the upcoming February election.
Present at the time were Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department; Mr. Abdur Rahman Musa, Central Working Committee Member, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Dhaka City North, and Constituency Director for Dhaka-15; Mr. Ziaul Hasan, Central Majlis-e-Shura Member and Working Committee Member of Dhaka City North; Mr. Shah Alam Tuhin, Working Committee Member of Dhaka City North and Ameer of Mirpur (East) Thana; Professor Anwarul Karim, Ameer of Kafrul (South) Thana; and Mr. Rezaul Karim, Ameer of Kafrul (North) Thana, among others.
