Sylhet, Broadcasting News Corporation: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir offered prayers (Ziarat) at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shahparan (RA).

On Sunday (04 January 2026), after arriving in Sylhet, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited and offered prayers at the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) at around 4:30 PM, followed by a visit to the shrine of Hazrat Shahparan (RA).

During the visit, he was accompanied by Ariful Haque Chowdhury, Adviser to the BNP Chairperson, along with other local and central top leaders.

This marks Mirza Fakhrul’s first visit to Sylhet since the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to the country and after receiving the party nomination as a candidate for the Thakurgaon-1 constituency in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

Following the Ziarat, he is scheduled to attend an exchange of views meeting with local media persons at the Windsor Hotel and Resort in Sylhet around 6:00 PM.
