Ashraful Islam, Chapainawabganj Correspondent, Broadcasting News Corporation: Professor Shahjahan Mia, the candidate of Dhaner Sheesh for Chapainawabganj-1 constituency and advisor to the BNP chairperson, commented that there is no lord outside the country except Allah. He said this while delivering the keynote speech at an election rally on Friday (January 30, 2026) afternoon at the Shyampur Union Council High School ground in Shibganj Upazila of the district. He said that BNP is truly a party devoted to Islam. Martyr President Ziaur Rahman had included ‘Bismillah’ in the constitution. He also said that Jamaat wants to erase 1971. For this reason, everyone must remain united. He also promised to develop Shibganj as a model upazila if elected. Special guests at the event, presided over by Khairul Islam, convener of the Shyampur Union Election Management Committee, included Abdul Wahed, president of the Chapainawabganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tosikul Alam, member secretary of Shibganj Upazila BNP, former general secretary Ashraful Alam, and former vice chairman of Shibganj Upazila Parishad, Shahidu.
