Mymensingh, Broadcasting News Corporation: In celebration of the festival of youth, the players from Mymensingh district emerged as the best in the 2025 Mymensingh Divisional Inter-College Football Tournament. The players of Mymensingh College defeated the players of Bakshiganj Government Qiyamat Ullah College from Jamalpur district 4-1.
With the slogan ‘Come, Let’s Change the Country, Let’s Change the World’ aimed at building a new Bangladesh, a closing and award-giving ceremony was organized by the Mymensingh Divisional and District Administration and the District Sports Office. The football match took place in the afternoon of Wednesday (24 December 2025) at Mymensingh District Stadium. Players participated in the game within the scheduled time.
The event was chaired by District Commissioner Md. Saiful Rahman, with Divisional Commissioner Farah Shammi attending as the chief guest. Special guests included Sumna Al Majid, Secretary of Mymensingh City Corporation, and Additional District Commissioner Reza Md. Golam Masum, among others. Mymensingh District Sports Officer Al-Amin was also present, along with many others.
The chief guest said, both the winning and the losing teams are mine. Both teams played excellently from the beginning. They gave the spectators an enjoyable game. The players played very competitively until the last moment. Even so, it is normal that one team will win. I congratulate both teams.

In his speech, the president said that football must be played collectively. It is not about playing individually. Even if you play well, there is no chance to win alone. Goals must be scored with the cooperation of all players. I saw such reflection in today’s game. Best wishes for the future to both teams. I sincerely thank everyone involved in organizing the event.
