Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: The closing and award ceremony of the five-day 1st CAS International Squash Tournament was held on Tuesday (January 6, 2026) at the Army Squash Complex, Dhaka Cantonment. At the event, the Chief of Army Staff, General Waqar-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC attended as the chief guest and distributed awards among the winners of the tournament. After the award distribution, the chief guest delivered his valuable speech to all those present.

The chief guest expressed optimism that organizing such competitions would play an important role in the country’s sports sector and also thanked everyone involved in organizing the event. A total of 24 professional squash players from nine countries, including Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Belgium, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, participated in this competition. The closing and award ceremony was attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Army, the President of the Bangladesh Squash Federation, and the Engineer-in-Chief of the Army, along with media representatives.
