Mymensingh, Broadcasting News Corporation: Police have arrested the main accused, Md. Yasin Arafat (25), in connection with the widely discussed and shocking murder of Dipu Chandra Das (28), who was beaten, hanged on a tree, and burned at Pioneer Knitwear BD Limited in Valuka, Mymensingh. He was arrested on Wednesday (January 7, 2026) at around 4 PM from the Sarulia area under Demra Police Station in Dhaka with the assistance of DMP. Police stated that there is direct evidence of his involvement as a leader in gathering people at the factory gate by shouting slogans, collectively assaulting and killing the victim Dipu Chandra Das in front of the gate, and then dragging the body by rope to the Square Masterbari area to burn it. The arrested suspect is Md. Yasin Arafat, son of Gazi Mia, from the Koroitala Mor area of South Hobirbari in Valuka Upazila.
