Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: In a joint operation, several firearms and equipment were recovered from Post Office Para in North Badda under Badda Police Station in the capital, including 7 pistols, 3 revolvers, and 1 .22 mm bore rifle. Based on information obtained from the arrested Md. Mehedi Hasan and subsequent intelligence operations, a follow-up raid was conducted at a rickshaw garage in the same area on Friday (February 6, 2026) at 4 PM. In this operation, 2 foreign pistols and 2 magazines were confiscated.
In view of the upcoming elections, joint operations are being conducted under the leadership of the army to ensure public safety. Any information about criminal activities should be provided to the nearest army camp or any law enforcement agency.
