Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: Dr. Md. Mokhles ur Rahman, Member (Senior Secretary) of the Bangladesh Planning Commission, stated that it is due to the contributions of scientists, farmers, and entrepreneurs involved in the livestock sector that we have achieved self-sufficiency in sacrificial cattle and goats. Emphasizing the importance of livestock products, he mentioned that the farmers are the main artisans behind Bangladesh’s leather exports.
The Member of the Bangladesh Planning Commission made these remarks while addressing the award distribution and closing ceremony of the exhibition organized on the occasion of National Livestock Week 2025 at the Old Trade Fair Ground in Dhaka on Saturday (29 November 2025) as the chief guest.
