Dhaka, Broadcasting News Corporation: As part of the state structure reform, a training and awareness meeting was held on Thursday (January 15, 2026) at the conference hall of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the occasion of ‘Referendum 2026’ to include the ‘July Charter’ in the Constitution and to take comprehensive preparations to increase public awareness ahead of the upcoming referendum.

It was informed at the meeting that the current interim government is working on three main mandates: reform, justice, and elections. The historic ‘July National Charter’ was prepared based on the proposals of commissions formed for state reform and the consensus of all political parties. To permanently enshrine this charter in the Constitution, a referendum is being held on the same day as the national elections. To promote a ‘yes’ vote in the referendum for the implementation of the July Charter, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Culture have prepared the necessary video clips. Through the extensive network of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the grassroots level.
In the meeting, officials and employees of all departments and agencies under the ministry were urged to convey the importance of the referendum and the detailed proposals of the July charter to the general public from their respective positions. Senior officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and various departments and agencies under it were present at the meeting. Detailed discussions on the technical and promotional aspects of the referendum were held, and necessary guidance was provided.
