Gazipur, Broadcasting News Corporation: Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Advisor to the Ministry of Home Affairs, has said that there is no doubt regarding the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The Advisor made this statement on Tuesday (27 January 2026) at a briefing for journalists after the closing parade of the 63rd batch of the basic training course for female prison officers at the prison training center’s parade ground in Kashimpur, Gazipur.

The Advisor said that whether former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, while being in India, gave an audio message or not, it does not affect the stability of the election or whether the election will fail. There is no possibility of the election collapsing or becoming unstable. The fascists have fled the country. Various countries have provided them shelter. He also expressed hope for the cooperation of those countries in repatriating the fascist criminals.
Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury mentioned that during the interim government, there was no corruption in the recruitment processes of the departments and various forces, and he said that this time the recruitment process in various forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs has been 100% transparent and impartial. He added that the biggest problem in Bangladesh is corruption, which has penetrated every corner of the country. We need to come out of this corruption.

The Home Affairs advisor said that both the quality and quantity of food for prisoners in jails have been increased. At the same time, he called on the new prison officers to perform their duties with honesty, competence, and professionalism, driven by a great spirit of patriotism.
